A Fresh Beginning for My Website in 2026
Reflections and Renewed Commitment
Last year, I must admit I was neglectful of my website, despite having several events I could have shared. As is often the case, social media and website maintenance can be time-consuming. However, I am now taking the opportunity to refresh my perspective and renew my dedication to nurturing this website throughout 2026.
Moving Marks: Our First Exhibition
The first major event of 2026 is the inaugural exhibition of Moving Marks, a group consisting of 11 women artists from across South Wales. Over the past year, we have gathered regularly in each other’s homes for mutual support and encouragement. Last summer, we collectively decided to embark on the exciting journey of arranging our first group exhibition.

Exhibition Venue: Volcano Theatre, Swansea
We are fortunate to have secured the Volcano Theatre in Swansea as our exhibition venue. This impressive space offers us the luxury and flexibility we need, with movable walls and a generously sized main area. In addition, there is a separate, smaller room dedicated to film screenings from several of the participating artists. The venue boasts several excellent features: once a Co-op supermarket, it is conveniently located on the High Street, just a short walk from the rail station. Admission is free, and the venue is fully accessible, with no steps, making it welcoming to all visitors.
An Overview of the Artwork
The exhibition promises a diverse and engaging range of artworks, including photography, drawing and painting, film, installation, sculpture, and performance. My own contribution will be a display of collaged artworks. These fragmented pieces are, in many ways, a direct response to the character of the venue. Perhaps, in this context, my work might even be considered an installation.
Here is one image to give an idea of the work I will show…
